MORAVSKÝ KRUMLOV
Moravský Krumlov is situated in slightly undulating terrain of the river Rokytná valley and in the near of South Moravian metropolis Brno. The town is well accessible from important border touristic centre Znojmo that is well-known thanks its history, wine and Podyji National park. The proximity to Austria and also farther Slovakia is a predisposition of large-scale history when there have occured many relevant events connected with various eras.
History of South Moravian town Moravský Krumlov dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. The town has grown in a river meander as a village under the early gothic castle. The aboriginal Slavic tribes mixed with Germanic ones, Christianity clashed with the traditional Jewish community. The unsettled history of the town was highlighted with bombing during The Second World War.
Before the beginning of the town history there had worked elements that left behind rare natural unit Krumlovsko-rokytenské agglomerates to adore. The nature has given rise to hospitable agrarian countryside, wine region that belong to the Southern Moravia. The poetry of elements is the poetry of local landscape.
